Spirit, culture, and community

Ammaji's Samadhi comprises six temples, a kund, ghat, and Ammaji's Bagaiya. The underlying theme is a synergy of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space.

Karuna, meaning compassion, is rooted in love: love of God in all manifestations, and in the ideal of tyag (sacrifice), the essence of true bhakti. Shree Karunamai Maa Shakti Peeth, Sohna, was established in 1988 by Shree Karunamai Maa (fondly known as Ammaji) under the aegis of Karunamai Ma Charitable Trust.

It is a hub of spiritual, cultural, and social welfare activities, involved in building and implementing welfare programs for the surrounding community.

The Ashram is a home away from home for thousands of devotees across India and the world. Love and respect for Ammaji and her disciple, Shree Nandbaba, is a hallmark of lives across all strata of Indian society.
